"WICKED"

We finally went to see Wicked last thursday night. It was AWESOME, AMAZING, SPECTACULAR!!! We will definitely be seeing that again.  We went with Becca because she came for a surpirse visit and wanted to see it.  We went down to LA early and stood in line to enter the "Wicked lottery." They do it on the week nights to help fill the theater.  We put our names in and they drew 13 names, each name got to have two front row tickets for $25 a piece.  The first name they called was Becca's, we were so excited since it was a slim chance of us getting it based on the number of people there.  Becca let Brian and I have the
front row and we tried to get her a good seat too.  We all loved it and
bought the CD of course so we could listen on the way home.
THANKS FOR THE GREAT SEATS BECCA

Here we are waiting to go to our seats
This is Becca and I after winning the lottery.  Our buttons say " I won the wicked lottery" on them.  YEAH
Becca has all the luck, she told us she was lucky and she wasn't kidding.  I said I wasn't and I really wasn't.
Here's Brian after the show, look how excited he is.  At the beginning
of the show the monkeys are running around and one swung out
on a rope right over our heads... that is how close we were.

MOTHER'S DAY

For Mother's Day this year Brian gave me some picture frames and told
me he knew we didn't have many pictures of me and Avery so he would
take more picture of us together. Here is the beginning of that.

This is before church with Avery's hair still intact

This is after church, after nap, and after she pulled her hair out.
I was playing the piano and she often times wants to come and sit
to play with me.
Hopefully when she takes piano lessons she will be more disciplined and
play like her Aunt Katie or cousin Emily.

Her hair is growing

We can finally pull a little hair on the top of her head, thus far we have only
conquered pony tails.
I love her faces, it is so hard to catch her smiling because she is always
changing up her face so fast
We almost got a smile, but still a cute face

Our Friend Jenny's Graduation party

Here is the happy graduate Jenny with her husband Kyle. Doesn't she look great.
Kyle has had Leukemia for the past two years and Jenny and I ran The Nike Women's Marathon in Chicago for him last October (that's 26.2 miles). For those of you who don't know, it was such a great experience.  They are both such good strong people and continue to accomplish great things even with major trials. Congrats!!!
Avery and her friend Nathan were exploring in the backyard
They found a water fountain and thought, "Wow, that looks fun."
They started picking wood off the ground and putting it in the water.
Avery kept trying to give Nathan her pieces.
These pictures don't show it but they both were pretty soaked when the wind finally
picked up and they started getting cold.

OMPA CAME TO VISIT

We were so excited that Ompa got to come a little earlier than he normally does after a long day of meetings.  Avery was still awake and ready to party for a few hours. We are so grateful that she can see him when he comes so far for buisness!  WE LOVE YOU OMPA!!!

Avery was showing Ompa her newest dance moves
She loves her blanket and quickly warmed up to Ompa again, she was ready for him to hold her within just a few minutes.
This one kind of looks like the funky chicken, or monkey, or something,
anyway she's cute whatever it is.

GRAMMY'S BIRTHDAY

Avery helped her blow out the candles and Grandpa made the cake and it was good.
Look at that cake. Angel food with sugar free banana jello and fat free whipped topping, I was amazed at how much I liked it. Good job Grandpa!!!
