OMPA CAME TO VISIT

We were so excited that Ompa got to come a little earlier than he normally does after a long day of meetings.  Avery was still awake and ready to party for a few hours. We are so grateful that she can see him when he comes so far for buisness!  WE LOVE YOU OMPA!!!

Avery was showing Ompa her newest dance moves
She loves her blanket and quickly warmed up to Ompa again, she was ready for him to hold her within just a few minutes.
This one kind of looks like the funky chicken, or monkey, or something,
anyway she's cute whatever it is.

GRAMMY'S BIRTHDAY

Avery helped her blow out the candles and Grandpa made the cake and it was good.
Look at that cake. Angel food with sugar free banana jello and fat free whipped topping, I was amazed at how much I liked it. Good job Grandpa!!!

BATH TIME AND MORE EASTER

Sunday dinner at Grammy and Grandpa's house
Grammy made a little Easter egg hunt for Avery.  Because we don't give her candy she got fruit snacks and animal crackers in her eggs, she for the most part just wanted to open them up and not eat.  She has never been a big eater.
She loves to sit her and rock next to Grandpa, it makes her feel like a big kid!

Avery is getting to be so fun.  She is finally saying all sorts of things like, "On your mark get set, and Grandpa, juice, milk, shoes, etc." And we are so excited that she finally can say please in sign language. She use to just get mad at me when I asked her to do it before and then other day she just did it out of know where, I WAS IN SHOCK! Avery also loves to dance, she could dance to just about anything.  We were in the grocery store today and she was helping push the cart, she had to stop every so often so she could dance to the music playing.  I was laughing to myself. Kids are so great-- for those who have them we always wonder what we ever did without them!! Brian is staying very busy with studying for the DAT we are so proud of him, work all day and study all night. I'm just staying busy with Avery, callings, and stamp club.
It's bath time again!!
MOM! Do you have to take pictures?!
Big Lips
Easter Lunch Box and Bunny
Mommy found an Easter movie she use to watch when she was a little girl, Avery thought it was pretty fun

Avery's First Easter Egg Hunt

Avery with her friend Ryan
Avery was so excited to run around and be outside that she ended up only getting 4 eggs.  The other kids her age were picking up the eggs quickly and eating the candy inside, but because she doesn't get candy she opened the eggs and then just carried the candy around.
Mommy had to pull the eggs out of the bushes so she could get them because otherwise she wasn't going to go to that much trouble she would have been just as happy to run around.  Maybe next year she will be more excited about the "hunt"

A Couple of Moments

We were having dinner at Grammy and Grandpa's house and Avery wanted out of her seat so she could see Grammy so she sat on her lap and the proceeded to eat her Asparagus then went on to Grandpa and did the same and then to Mommy.  Who knew she liked that?!!
Avery has been sick on and off for well over a month and this day she had a fever and Daddy was trying to make her feel better.  She wanted him to unload all of the stuffed animals and all of the blankets that sit in baskets on her shelves.
Here she is holding her medicine and directing Daddy

Avery's Mexico Shirt

On our cruise we bought Avery this shirt but this is the first day she could wear it and I still have to use a ribbon in the back.  She looked so cute that I had to take pictures.  She was sad at first but she got happier.
She loves to watch the movie Ratatouille so we watch little segments here and there.
This is the "I'm tire" pose.  She sucks two fingers on her left hand and with her right brings up her blanket to rub under her nose, it is too cute

Abby's First Bread

This is my first bread!!! Mom found the recipe for me and it turned out pretty well.  Every week I make two loaves and I am getting much better but there is still room for improvement. I've also been making recipes out of my new cookbook "Deceptively Delicious."  In each recipe there are vegetable purees... so I have been steaming and pureeing everything.  We had beet pancake for dinner the other night.  Brian said they were good but he couldn't get past the fact that they were pink and had "beets" in them.  Avery liked them so we will be having those again.
